Started as a one-man studio project in 2005 by multi-instrumentalist Giancarlo Erra and evolving into a full band, Nosound combines influences from ’70s psychedelia, ’80s/’90s ambient, soundtracks, alternative and post-rock.
The music is dynamic and intense, influences range from Pink Floyd to Brian Eno, from Porcupine Tree to Marillion, from Radiohead to Sigur Ros, passing through rock and electronic music.
Signed since 2008 with London based Kscope/Snapper, Nosound have released several albums.
The band have also collaborated in the studio with musicians like Chris Maitland (ex-Porcupine Tree), Tim Bowness (No-Man), Vincent Cavanagh (ex-Anathema), and Andrea Chimenti.
The band have played several major festivals and shared the stage with Steve Hackett, Tony Levin, Steve Hogarth, Anathema, and many others.
Founded in 1998, RanestRane are one of the most active bands in Italian Prog Rock.
RanestRane's works are all inspired by great arthouse films: "Nosferatu", "The Shining", "2001 A Space Odyssey", "The Wall", and "Apocalypse Now".
RanestRane stands out for it's live performances, called 'CineConcerts', during which the band's lyrics and music blend with the original dialogues of a film projected on the screen.
RanestRane are currently busy in the creation of the new album "The Elephant Man". The album, to be released in 2025, is inspired by the 1980 film, directed by David Lynch.
