Lonely Robot is the brainchild of multi instrumentalist and songwriter John Mitchell.
Following spells writing for and fronting the bands Kino in 2005 and the reformed It Bites from 2006 onwards, Mitchell elected to start releasing music under his own Lonely Robot umbrella from 2014 onwards. Since that time, Mitchell has released five critically acclaimed albums under the Lonely Robot banner.
From the 2015 debut "Please Come Home" featuring Steve Hogarth, Peter Cox, Nick Beggs and Nik Kershaw to the final and more personal "A Model Life" in 2022, Mitchell has always strived to create music that resonates both melodically and thematically with a strong lyrical message.
Mitchell currently plays guitar in the reimagined iteration of Asia having successfully toured the States in the summer of 2024 and continues to play for and contribute to the critically and commercially acclaimed Frost* whose most recent album 'Life In The Wires' was released on October 18th.
Mitchell looks forward to releasing new music under his own name in early 2025.
